Well, for all of you who have been looking at my previous journal for almost a year now: I did make it to Japan! And Im already feeling at home! I arrived April 1st (2 days later than planned, but thats a long story) and will be here for four months, until August 2nd. Ive already visited Shibuya, Shinjuku, Akihabara, Ueno, Ikebukuro, Asakusa and theres plenty more to come! Also school is starting soon; on Tuesday! For anyone Swedish out there whos interested in Tokyo living, youre welcome to visit my blog at hellojeshika.wordpress.com (sorry, I cant write in English even though Id love to. By request from my mom, guh!).
This was actually the reason I visited deviantArt today, since I plan on posting some photography during my stay. I was sure not much would have been going on here, but hah, was I wrong! At first I just noticed the piling numbers of deviations by artist that I watch (sorry!) and the 2,780 messages. So, ok, I have been away for some time. Trolling around on the site, I happened to view my watcher's list. Something was clearly up with February 13th. So I went to my message box; maybe Ive had some kind deviant featuring me!
As I scrolled down to my private messages I saw something about "DD".. no, wait..what..not me, not in a million years. Oh my, it really is me. And guess what. Its even for the deviation which I created as I was making my plans for Japan: Just a wish! That made me even happier, since it has a lot of meaning to me personally (Ive really been the one pushing this Japan-"project" forward).
All in all, I could not have asked for a better "welcome back", and I hope to see a lot of both familiar and new faces here on dA!
Special thanks to laura242, who suggested my deviaton. I just visited her gallery, and I really think you should too! Great conceptual work. I cant help but loving her photograph Umbrella, so heres a feature!
And of course, great thanks for the DD to gallery moderator ^Shalora, who as well is a great conceptual artist!
And I appreciate every single one of your comments! Domou arigatou gozaimasu!
